Estheticians perform a variety of techniques to maintain or improve the appearance of healthy skin. DCI's philosophy on skin care embraces a blend of both European therapies and medical treatments designed to enhance the skin's natural beauty. Utilizing a hands-on approach to training, our students develop a working knowledge of a wide array of products designed to rejuvenate the skin while receiving practical technical and retail experience working in the New Beginnings Spa, a fully functioning salon setting.

Estheticians may perform the following services:

  • Facials
  • Chemical peels
  • Wraps and masks
  • Waxing
  • Microdermabrasion and exfoliation
  • Dermaplane services
  • Harmony and color analysis
  • Makeup application

DCI's Advanced Esthetician program includes the following equipment:

  • Dermalogica® brand skin care kit
  • A Natural Difference® brand skin care kit
  • Microdermabrasion tip
  • Facial application brush
  • Starter makeup kit
  • Compressed sponges
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spatula

DCI Esthetician Icon Most Estheticians work in spas and salons. There are also job opportunities in fitness clubs, resorts, physicians’ offices and dermatologists' offices. Many Estheticians also elect to become self-employed.
